Vietnam, a journey in three chapters
Hanoi, an overnight bay experience and Hoi An, with a buffer between the cruise and onward flight.
Explore the itineraryEvery stop, thoughtfully connected.
A night in Hanoi after the cruise avoids building the route around a tight cruise-to-flight connection.
How the days could unfold.
An illustrative outline, adapted to your dates, needs and available services.
DAY 01Arrive in Hanoi
Transfer to your hotel and settle in. A short neighborhood walk is optional, with the first evening kept flexible around your arrival.
DAY 02Hanoi, stories and flavors
Explore the Old Quarter and the Hoan Kiem Lake area with time for a guided food or cultural experience. Choose a small number of visits rather than trying to cover the entire city.
DAY 03Your choice of a deeper day
Add a countryside day trip, a focused heritage visit or a slower day in Hanoi. A Ninh Binh excursion can be considered, with the longer driving day explained before it is added.
DAY 04Into Ha Long Bay
Transfer to the confirmed cruise embarkation point. Follow the chosen operator’s boarding time and itinerary; activities depend on the vessel, weather and permitted route.
DAY 05Return with time in hand
Disembark after the cruise programme and return to Hanoi. Stay overnight rather than attaching a potentially stressful flight connection to the same day.
DAY 06Fly to Da Nang, continue to Hoi An
Take the selected domestic flight and transfer to Hoi An. Keep the first evening open for an introductory walk if you feel like it.
DAY 07Discover Hoi An
Explore the historic town at a measured pace with an optional guide. Combine this with time for cafés, local food or shops; entrance arrangements are specified in the proposal.
DAY 08A day shaped by your interests
Choose a village or cooking experience, time at the coast or a free day. Outdoor plans are adapted to the conditions rather than promised regardless of the weather.
DAY 09Departure via Da Nang
Transfer for your confirmed flight. Routing can be extended to other parts of Vietnam if you have more time.
