Sikkim, two mountain perspectives
A journey through two bases with room for culture and changing mountain views.
Explore the itineraryEvery stop, thoughtfully connected.
Keeping the core route around Gangtok and Pelling avoids automatically adding higher-altitude excursions.
How the days could unfold.
An illustrative outline, adapted to your dates, needs and available services.
DAY 01Arrive and continue to Gangtok
Use your confirmed arrival gateway and transfer to Gangtok. Keep the evening free after the road journey.
DAY 02Discover Gangtok
Choose selected local cultural and scenic visits with time for rest. The final sequence is planned around current opening and road conditions.
DAY 03A flexible second day
Add a suitable local excursion or keep a slower day in town. Any restricted-area or high-altitude outing is assessed and permitted separately rather than assumed.
DAY 04Travel to Pelling
Move to Pelling, allowing the day for the road journey and selected stops if appropriate. Settle into your stay without overloading the evening.
DAY 05Explore from Pelling
Plan a small selection of monastery, heritage or scenic visits. Mountain visibility varies, so no particular view is guaranteed.
DAY 06Return for departure
Transfer to your chosen gateway. Flight or rail timing determines whether an additional gateway night is the more comfortable option.
